25 random things about myself

Tagged by the lovely Miss O'Donnell.

1. I do not like other people loading my dishwasher. I have a specific way and order to it.

2. I do not have a favorite color. I like almost all colors. They all have a purpose for something. Although I have to say that I am drawn to "earthy" colors but even in writing this I am thinking of all the colors that aren't "earthy" that I love. So again, I do not have a favorite color.

3. I harbor the awful habit of nail biting. I have made several attempts through out my life to stop. The longest being a couple of years before Sam's birth. As soon as I had kids, the disgusting habit resurfaced. I will again, in the future, try to correct myself.

4. I am eligible to join the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) but haven't gotten around to it yet.

5. Brian and I made individual life lists of 100 things that we would like to do before we die.
One of the things on my life list is that I would someday like to write a book.
 About what? I don't know.
I trust that someday the plot/idea will come and the words will flow out of me.

6. My middle name is Christine.

7.  My favorite flower is a peony. Oh- I like Queen Anne's Lace too.

8. I loathe mob/mofia movies.

9. This is the longest I have lived with out a pet in 20 years.
I want another dog but can't decide between a golden retreiver, bull mastiff, or a New Foundland.

10. I am extremely sentimental, to a fault sometimes.

11. I don't drink that often execpt when we are at the beach. Then, for whatever reason, I crave margharita's, creamsicles, and coladas. Although I do like Bailey's.... in hot chocolate and on the rocks. And I have to admit that I like sweet/fruity wines.

12. I don't like coffee. I have tried to like it... I really have. I like the way it smells.
I just can't do it.
Instead of being adicted to coffee, I can not begin my day with out a tall glass of orange juice.

13. I was ultra shy until 11th grade.
Sometimes I still feel I lean towards those tendencies in some situations.

14. I have encountered paranormal, ghost like experiences before. (Note the plural) Too much to explain in this post. Some good and others not so good. If you really want to know, ask me about it sometime. I'll be happy to tell you.

15. I hate laundry.

16. I am the oldest of 5 kids. We are as follows;
Tara (35), Laura (31), Luke (28), Patrick (25), and Rachel (23)

17. I love to travel.
Been through the US extensively, Carribean, Canada, Mexico but never overseas.
So far my favorite National Park has been Yosemite.
if and when I go again I will bring a lounge chair
and park myself at the base of El Capitan to watch and listen to the climbers all day.

18. I have an irrational, deathly fear of  dentists. I really can't stand anything to do with teeth.
My list of fears also includes any type of rodent.

19. I am not a "baby person". I only like photographing them and then handing them back to their mothers.

20. Although it's not healthy, I like having a tan during the summer.

21. My earliest flicker of memory I have is of being in my crib. And I can remember the color of my room and where it was in the house . I lived in that house until I was 3 1/2 or 4.

22. I think I have inhertited my mother's weird trait of not being able to vomit. I can be in the most accute state of nausua and praying to vomit. But for whatever reason my body just won't.
I know this one was gross but it is a random list right?

23. I love the change in seasons except for spring. Too muddy.
Oh- I love windy days. I love thunderstorms.

24. I had imaginary friends when I was little. I don't remember them though. I just know of them through the stories still told by my family.

25. I used to play the piano, handbells, and the flute.

26. I was a victim of armed robbery about 10 years ago.

This was hard to come up with 25 things.
I tag KA, Heather, Lisa, Denise, Paula, Jenny and Emily D.
Your turn! :)

See how you learn things about people through those. I'm glad you did it.

We have some things in common. I was just looking at the DAR website last night and wanted to see if that was something you wanted to do with me. And weird enough, I have only thrown up a handful of times in my life. It makes sense now that it could be a family thing. Awesome!
