Trick or Treat...

Tinkerbell and Scuba Sam were hard core trick or treaters tonight.
After a trip around the neighborhood they both had full buckets.
Everyone loved their costumes and a few of the neighbors had "special treats" just for them. It was sooo sweet!! The Parkers, next door, had a wrapped present for them that was a Halloween cookie jar filled with cookies!
Beth was wiped out when we got home and actually asked if she could go to bed. Sam stayed up trying to "organize" his candy. BUT as I type this post, he is leaning up against me and I think he is asleep. Brian unfortunately had to work tonight so he couldn't be here with us. My mom manned the front porch and handed out candy while I took the kids.
It turned out to be a beautiful night, weather wise. We did miss having Brian with us, but at least he got to attend the kid's Halloween parties with them. There's always next year! :)
Speaking of next year... the kids already started thinking of costume ideas.
Sam thought of a mountain/rock climber, hand glider pilot, or a mountain/rock climbing hand glider pilot.
Beth wants to be a princess.... big shock there! :)

Happy Halloween!

Vampires All Around Us

twilight.

true blood. (rated R)

Love them both but I definitely am a True Blood addict!

Isn't she pretty?

It's just a jump to the left....

I had such a ball last night picking out the current Halloween playlist of music. I added some of my favorites and some traditional. That's when I remembered 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'!! The cult classic was a favorite among  my friends and I when we were in High School. I swear we could have put on the production on ourselves. We knew every word, every dance step, ect.  :) I watched a few clips on You Tube last night and couldn't get over how really stupid that movie is... BUT it floods my mind with fun and ridiculous memories!! :)

I love this clip from the Drew Carey show. This is so something that my friends and I would have done! :)

Here's the original version. :)

The Last Fall Outing

Last week we made one more trip to the apple orchards and pumpkin patch.
It was so much fun since we had all our favorite people with us.
A definite change in the weather was reminding us that winter is closer than we think. The first couple of trips we could get away with a heavy sweater, than a light jacket, and now it's hats and warm coats and gloves. Most of the pumpkins had already been harvested and found new homes, but we went for photos and fun. All the kids had a wonderful day of apple picking, running around, playing with friends and cousins all while I clicked away at the shutter button, trying to capture every moment.
Eventually I'll have some of the photos on the other blog... Molly's are the first up there now.
I didn't take too many of my kids... I already have quite bit. So it was fun and relaxing to focus on everyone else. At the end of the day Kristin A. was sweet enough to take a quick picture of the kids and I. So, thanks for everyone's help that day. I know everyone thought I was crazy for suggesting it but it really went smoothly, thanks to all of you! :)

I had to post that picture of me with the kids. Sam's face is too funny! Figures...

No Trespassing!

This is how I left them. Playing in a leaf pile.
I decided to go into the house and clean up the kitchen. I am able to keep them in my view and get some things done at the same time. But I must have stepped away from the window for a couple of minutes. When I looked back out to check on them.....
... this is what they were doing.
Hanging posted signs on the trees in the backyard.
Sam had gotten Brian's drill, put the battery in, got a screw, and found the "perfect" place for the sign. (I swear this only must have taken a few moments, I swear!)

Beth was being such a good little sister by holding the sign steady for him.

Sam had crossed out "Guard Dog" and wrote in his and Beth's names.

So if you want to come over and play in the backyard, you better call first. After 5 1/2 years I am still trying to guess which three days are the nastiest! :)
